RX Concert Series feat. SANDWICH

OK, so the plan for No Work Monday was supposed to be to shoot in Mendiola for the Rally. But my friends love me so they tried all possible convincing ways to not make me go to the Rally because it might get rowdy. I know, my photography addiction is getting way too far. Although honestly speaking, Rallies are one of my favorite subjects. Anyway, so Monday it was. I was getting ready to go out and shoot when Julius texted that they're going to the RX Concert Series and it will be about 6pm, and they'll meet up in SM Megamall at around 5 pm. So I replied, i going with them.

We met up actually a bit too early, at 4:30pm Julius and Bernz were already at the mall at the time and so was I. So after a few small talk about Aia & Zac breaking up and now there's Aia & Marc of Rivermaya (Wooott?) , we headed to STRATA 2000 Bldg. I don't how we got there but they know the way so we finally got there. We found the two roadies of Sandwich inside the RX office. Small talk again, this time about the Sandwich album launch. So we waited and waited... Raims was first to arrive, he smiled at us, no he Beamed at us saying "Hiiiiii!!!!" then went to the booth and set up his stuff. Myrene was right behind him, then Diego came in, along still with his crazy antics. We took pictures here and there, and went inside the booth too! Stalkers, Unite! haha!

Raims was there, sitting on a table beside a Sandwich toy. The boys joked about Dino being an impersonator because he was wearing this yellow The Dead Milkman shirt and his hair was cut like Raims too! haha! So we sat there, we were actually waiting for Mong to arrive. Tim, the guy who owns the toy was there to fill in the silence of waiting. He got a Holga with a flash! He even gave me a number of Dek, the guy who sells Lomo cams. And he also said he could break a neck when it gets hot and crowded. haha! how spoiled.

When Mong finally came in, he saw the Sandwich toy and posed for me! i took the picture! it made my night. Anyway, the show started so we cramped ourselves inside the booth. It was joy! And honestly speaking, it was my first time inside a radio station booth, and it' RX MONSTER Radio 93.1, man! I used to just read about it in Magazines.

They kicked the show off with Ang Pagbabalik, then Selos, Text In The City, Procrastinator and Public Offender were also on their playlist that night. In betweens, of course there was this question and answer part. The DJ read off the Wikipedia facts about Sandwich. The band is very fun to watch. especially Diego. If during his NU107 days he couldn't stop talking, during the Radio guesting he couldn't stop talking and moving around. hehe! He keeps the whole set alive. I love him already. haha! Mong on the other hand was just laughing along, and then right after the set he would make voices of TV reporters with Leigh. The last song they played was Procrastinator; At the last part Raims aimed the MIC at us and made us shout SONIC! DEATH! MONKEY! hehehe, it was fun. it's a thing I heard they got from High Fidelity.

What ensued after the set was autographs and picture takings. According to Thea, the band's management want the Listers to organize a Beach-escapade this Summer. Fantastic! Fantastic!
